“EU are not alone” is a Mental Health Youth Exchange funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. It is an initiative dedicated to promoting social inclusion, combating social isolation, and addressing the challenges of loneliness among young people. At the core of our initiative is the desire to identify individuals who are negatively impacted by social isolation and loneliness, and provide them with interventions that can improve their social well-being. We aim to equip participants with psychological tools and coping strategies to break the stigma associated with loneliness, foster empathy, and cultivate a sense of belonging.
The primary goal of this project is to empower young participants to create and establish peer support groups within their local communities upon their return. These peer support groups will serve as vital networks for combating social isolation, fostering emotional well-being, promoting a sense of belonging, and enhancing the community’s social fabric.
